Charles
MacInerney co-created and acted as conference coordinator
for the highly successful 3-day "Heart of Business Conference"
on Spirituality in the Workplace. Charles has offers talks,
workshops and retreats on Yoga and Spirituality. He has given
talks at the Seton Cove Spirituality Center, the Unitarian
Universalist Church, the United Methodist Church, and the
Presbyterian Seminary in Austin, Texas.
Charles keeps the spiritual aspects of Yoga
separate from his classes and workshops in order to make yoga
available to the widest possible audience. For students who
wish to find out more about the spiritual nature of yoga,
he offers 3 and 8 day retreats on Raja Yoga.
Charles likes to think of yoga not as a religion,
but as a science of religions. Yoga does not tell you what to
think, but how to think, not what to believe, but how to believe.
The practice of yoga can be used to enhance a person's spirituality
and deepen their appreciation for their own religion, whatever
that may be. Yoga is a wonderful tool that people have used
for thousands of years to calm the mind and body, improve concentration
and increase awareness. These conditions are of benefit to all
who practice Yoga regardless of race, or religion.
