Charles has studied, practices and teaches over 25 forms of meditation including two forms of his own... Somatic Meditation and the Perfected Master Meditation, both of which are favorites among his students. Other styles include Mantra, Breath Awareness, So-Haun, Detached Observation, Vipassana, Walking, Eating, Working, Trataka, Soft Vision, Auditory, Sincere Appreciation, Bio-Feedback, Dharana, and Pratyahara.

He has taught meditation to over 1,500 students in Austin. He has also taught Meditation at hospitals, companies including IBM, 3M, Apple, and Motorola, and at a variety of Conferences, including four years with the National Wellness Conference.

Charles has organized and facilitated over 40 retreats in Costa Rica, Mexico and Texas where he teaches groups of up to 35 students in yoga and meditation for up to 8 days at a time.

He worked with the Austin Heart Hospital, teaching meditation and stress management from 2000 to 2002. He is on the faculty of the Austin School of Yoga's Yoga Teacher Training program where he teaches the Meditation component of their program, and he is also the co-founder and on the faculty of the Texas Yoga Teacher Training Program.
