The Art of Stretching Learn how to elevate stretching to the level of meditation. Charles has a gift for helping students to increase and focus their awareness. Through the practice of concentration combined with non-violence (Dharana plus Ahmisa) you can balance effort and surrender (Tapas and Santosha) to improve the quality and get better results from your practice. Learn how to surf across the ever-changing surface of a stretch and how to recognize when the muscle is ready to relax allowing you to dive deep beneath the surface, navigating the uncharted depths of your own mind/body. The Techniques learned in this workshop can be applied to any asana practice.

Breathing & Meditation Breathing Meditations have been used for millennia to help us experience more deeply our own inner silence. This workshop will give you the opportunity to discover for yourself whether you have good breathing habits, and to improve your control of breath thus improving your overall physical, mental and emotional health. Learn & practice specific breathing techniques that can be used to maintain inner calm in the midst of a stressful environment or situation, energize body and mind, reduce anxiety, relax muscles, or deepen inner peace.

Asana Practice for Inner Peace Experience the amazing stillness and timeless quality of mind that can be reached through yoga practice. We will start with a well balanced workout to warm up the body and slow down the mind. Then we will practice meditative asana, slowing down to allow the sensations of body to pull your attention deeper into a world of subtleties. Learn how to use physical exercise and breath control to slow the mind down from beta frequencies (associated with muscle tension and worrying) down into Alpha and Theta frequencies (associated with physical relaxation, creativity, and a profound sense of well being). You will come away from this workshop with a deeper awareness and appreciation for your amazing mind & body, and the knowledge and tools to help you return to this state again and again!

AUDIENCE TESTIMONIALS "I attended Mr. MacInerney's presentation
on Self-Awareness Tools for Self-Transformation" at the 1997 National
Wellness Conference in Wisconsin. It was a profound, life-changing experience!
He provided tools and insights that I began using immediately, as I walked
out the door; as well as ideas and seeds that served as catalysts for
short term and long term goals in my own life, and in the presentations
I share. Thank you for opening yourself to this audience!" Kim
Quinn, Nurse, Montessori Teacher, Trainer/Facilitator
"On several occasions I have invited Charles MacInerney to share his remarkable gifts with my class in drawing and design. In 34 years of teaching I have not witnessed such an exponential leap in creativity in such a short period of time.... I was personally surprised that after years of teaching my vision was immensely expanded. In essence, Mr. MacInerney nurtured each individual, encouraged the process of individuation and infused the group's collective potential with a new synergy." Vincent Mariani, University of Texas, Professor, Department of Art
"Thank you so much for an excellent workshop last Friday. I'm certain that the information you shared will be remembered and used throughout the academic year. As a matter of fact, during our afternoon session, we had the opportunity to use our newly acquired 'fly fishing' technique. The creativity that emerged during the brainstorming process was incredible!" Renee Moore, University of the Incarnate Word, Dean of Student Life
"I have recommended his classes to everyone I know, and will continue to do so as long as he chooses to teach." Denise Gamino, Austin American Statesman Reporter
"Charles facilitated our initial team leader organizational day. His innovative delivery, caring style and creative skills, got us off to a soaring start." Sandy Aiken, Director of Motorola's Wellness Program
